Three Month Creative Journey

I have been having so much fun, and learning so much both from the teachers at FodderSchool, as well as from "Fellow Fodderers". Each month we all work on the classes, and without fail something new builds from that base, and gets taken up by the group.

October was my month to teach, and I taught fabric painting and coptic book binding, but I learnt so much too! I learnt:

  • How to make your own mediums from products that are easily available

  • About new papers I have never tried

  • About using coloured pencils on fabric

  • To work in a very different way from how I had been working, and how lovely that was.

Here's where I started

And then, because of what others in FodderSchool discussed I figured out how to do this with coloured pencils....

And then thanks to Tiffany's Bonus Class, I did this with watercolours.....

And then had soo much fun with watercolour on fabric...

That was all just October!

Then during November we had great fun with Tiffany creating folders and fussy cuts

Alison Bomber added an AMAZING Bonus Video and inspired this

Which had me collecting bits on our daily walks, and REALLY looking at the nature around me.

December brought Barb Smucker and her beautiful colour mixing with spontaneous collage.

I learnt a few things about myself and what I prefer in my art, and I learnt the value of mud!!!

It was such fun I made soooo much fodder! I particularly enjoyed her monoprint technique.

The spontaneous collages were amazing to get going on an arting day. Quick, fun, and with very pleasing results!

And all of that in only the first QUARTER of FodderSchool3!!! If you haven't joined yet, you can still join in this fun learning experience, and you have lifetime access to revisit the ones you missed live. I am excited to see what the rest of the year brings! I have learnt a lot, and have really enjoyed seeing the Fodder School joy and creativity spread far and wide!

Pop over to the "Classes Available" tab and you can click on the link there to join. I would suggest you start in the month you join as the online support and camaraderie is incredible, and you don't want to miss that!

Happy arting

Seasons wishes....

Di
