We are currently hosting an exchange student from Berlin, Germany, converting us from "child-free" to "teenager parents" in one long-haul flight! It has been wonderful and challenging all at once, and the demands on my time have naturally increased quite drastically. We are of course trying to fit in as much sightseeing as possible in the 6 months our student has with us too.
At the same time, I have started teaching in-person bookbinding classes at The Potocki Arts Center which I love very much. It is wonderful to be teaching something I adore again!
So substantially less time has been spent on making art for the love of art. But the one thing that has kept me going - and I am immensely grateful for - is FodderSchool3! It has kept me creating when I don't feel like I have time for my creative needs, and being creative is so vital to my well-being, it is keeping me sane!
So, a sneak peek at what I am up to with FodderSchool....
In February we were led by the lovely Jennifer Wilkin Penick. I got sort of stuck on the black and white creation lesson as it just perfectly fitted what I needed to create at that moment. And BOY did I create!
And then I put everything we learned in the month into this book:
